HOW IT WORKS

WHAT IS IONIZATION?

The process of an atom gaining or losing electrons is called ionization. The Mineral Water System generates copper and silver ions in minute quantities for water purification.

HOW DOES THE MINERAL WATER SYSTEM WORK?

• A safe, low direct current - like that of several common household batteries - is passed through a set of silver and copper alloy electrodes.
• As the water supply traverses the ionizers' sealed chamber, metal ions are generated to purify the water.

• The microscopic action of the ions with the algae and bacteria are two fold:
• First, the algae and bacteria are destroyed through a change in their enzyme processes.
• Second, all these charged particles clump together and are effectively pulled out by the filter. This gives the water an enhanced clarity and sheen.
• The ions maintain a stable sanitizer residual in the water until they are used up by this process. In comparison, chlorine is unstable and dissipates with sunlight, body oils, shifts in pH and temperature, and the destroying of bacteria.

IS IT SAFE?

Yes! Silver is used extensively in medicine and is highly beneficial in many ways. In fact, in order to meet the recommended minimum daily requirements, you would have to drink a gallon of your ionized pool water per day. (But there are better ways to get your proper nutrition!)

As for copper, the Singapore Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standard for drinking water is 1.3 ppm of copper, but less than one-fourth of this amount is all that is needed to purify your pool!
